Great shot Ruthmarie.
You are right about trying to get a good flag shot, darn things keep blowing. :)
It would make great video.
Good Norning Euthmarie
Thanks for the post and photo> Have a great day
Nothing wrong with a flag being blown by the winds! After all that's what's supposed to happen. You just have to take a sequence of photos. If you take several in rapid fire sequence you'll likely get the perfect photo.
Yes, that is a great shot, Ruthmarie. I was just there yesterday. I really like Mamaroneck (and my customers there).
Hi Tom - The last time I tried it it was just blowing like crazy. All I got was a blur. There was a breeze that night, but I was able to use HDR - which requires 3 shots. Ironically, this is one of my first attempts at HDR.
Hi Patrick - Thanks for stopping by
Hi Jeanne and Ralph - The last time it was blowing like crazy and starting to get dark. A bad combo. I had to slow down the shutter so NOTHING came out. Before that I tried to take one in the dark, that didn't work well either. You just keep going until you get it right.
Hi Debbie - One of my first attemtps at HDR. Which is ironic because it requires three shots at three exposures. I took about 12 sets to get one that "stood still" enough for the process to work.
Great picture... I just love that flag... no matter how it turns as long as it keep flying... Thanks
Hi Richard & Beth - Let's hope it does keep flying...
Hi William - Thanks - It was one of my first attemtps at HDR.
Very creative way to hang a Flag! I don't think I've ever seen that before!
Hi Jane,
I don't know any other town that does it quite that way. That's why I always wanted to photograph it.
