Houses in The Preserve at sharp Mountain are generally custom, rather than spec built, and therefore the few resales that are available are generally very diverse in terms of price, style and features.  Home prices range from the low $300,s to close to $800,000, with an average home sale price around $515,000.

The Preserve at Sharp Mountain has lot sales that start below $70,000 and climb as high as $500,000, while lot sizes can be anywhere from 3- to 22-acres, with much of this land offering long range views, waterfalls, creeks and rock features.

Highlights of The Preserve at Sharp Mt.:

• 1,600+ acres of rolling hills, creeks and waterfalls;
• Minimum 3-acre lot size; 
• Wooded lots with old growth trees, views, water features, and good building sites;
• The Preserve at Sharp Mountain has mainly resale homes for sale, more so than new construction(although there are a couple).  However, all houses are still fairly new, having been built in 2001 or later;

• Plentiful wildlife;

• Seven nature parks, a bird sanctuary, butterfly garden, and native garden, celebrate the natural environment and history of the area;
• Gated (coded) entrance for security;
• Although secluded, The Preserve at Sharp Mountian is approximately only 5-miles from the Home Depot / Kroger shopping center in Jasper, and 4-miles from Piedmont Mountainside Medical Center;
• Developer offers a property buildability guarantee, that provides for a full purchase refund if any regulation existing at the time of sale prevents building on the lot.

Listings and sales of land and lots in The Preserve at Sharp Mountain have been fairly strong, with early phases mostly sold and already returning to market as resales.  New phases (Sunset Views West, Five Creeks Crossing, and Mountain View Estates) are already reaching the price reduction "closeout" stage. The 19-lots in the relatively new Sunset Ridge are sold out.  Most of these newer phases are located close to the new entrance off Henderson Mountain Road, rather than the main entrance off Jerusalem Church / Petit Roads, which unfortunately places them further from Jasper and Hwy 515 than the older phases.

Home sale listings in the Preserve at Sharp Mountain haven't done quite as well as land sales, but this isn't surprising based on the price point, which is well above the county average (and there just haven't been that many properties come to market).
