Scientifically based organic landscape practices produce better results than their chemical counterparts
Ecological landscape programs can be customized to the particular needs of a landscape. It starts with a biological soil test and analysis to uncover the strengths and weaknesses in the landscape's soil. Based on the results of this analysis, the proper organic applications can be created in order to give the landscape what it needs to thrive. A strong, biologically diverse soil produces drought, insect and disease resistant turf, trees and shrubs.

Beauty and charm are two of the byproducts derived from a science-based ecological landscape program. One client said he felt his property had turned into Jurassic Park because everything was so dense and green. By working with nature, spectacular results can be achieved. Typical chemical landscape applications interfere with or eliminate some of the soil's delicate microbiology that works symbiotically and harmoniously with the plants roots. Synthetic nitrogen fertilizers can temporarily green-up turf and plants, but in the long run they do damage to the plants and the ecology. In addition, many studies have linked landscape chemicals to health problems.

Universities like Princeton, Harvard, NYU and others have started to go green in their maintenance practices. The Village of East Hampton (under the watch of The Ladies Village Improvement Society) has mandated the use of 100% organic applications on the entire village-owned green areas. and now their lawns are emerald green in August when they used to be brown.

What most do not know is that custom brewed compost teas can be fifteen to fifty times more bio-diverse and fifty times more powerful than he stuff off the shelf. With the new organic sciences, both new and 200 year-old trees can have a new lease on life and breathe better for it.
Fake it or make it real.
Because going green is getting popular, many companies are getting on the bandwagon. You have to be careful because some that wave the organic flag are doing so just to gather work and still use chemicals as the trouble-solver. You need to ask all companies if they are 100% organic in their practices, or at least using organic practices on your property. If they tell you that organics will not work as well as chemicals, know that they just have not done enough research or have not had enough experience with natural products.
