This has been a long week.  Two of my listings went under contract.  And inspection was scheduled and then unscheduled since the seller didn't get the power turned on until today.  There was a dental appointment, two evening showing appointments and an evening CMA.  When you take appointments for evening hours when other people are off work it can make for a long day sometimes.  Today I got home in time to see the evening news.  Oh course my husband has been at work for 13 hours and likely has at least two to go. I also have two showing appointments tomorrow.

Now I'm sitting here watching the news and wondering why people actually vote more tax on themselves.  I just saw a commercial trying to tell me that's a good idea.  The odd thing is, if the spent all the money they are spending on commercials to work on the roads we wouldn't need to vote to tax ourselves more.

My fat cat you see has "come out of the closet" literally.  Four years ago when two dogs moved in she retreated to hiding until the puppies went to bed.  Of course we spend time in the bedroom and even the walk in closet petting her she is skittish.  She always has been, in fact her name is Skitty.  In 2004 when my step son moved in she spent 6 months in the closet waiting for him to leave.  Adding not one, but two large dogs to our family was a bit longer... 4 years.  But this week she pranced right out and joined my Donald and Glen on the sofa.  I've been telling her this entire time if she will just hiss at the dogs they will run from her.

We shouldn't be in a drought anymore.  At least not at my house.  Wednesday night we got 4 inches of rain.  Another half inch last night and well.... I hear thunder now so we may get a bit more tonight.  Of course July is Georgia's most rainy month of the year.

And it's Friday the 13th and that is an "anniversary" of sorts at our house.  The very first time I ever laid eyes on my Donald was Friday the 13th.  And we also celebrate our first kiss that day.  One of these days I'll have tell everyone the story of us meeting.  Must run now... my washing machine just beeped the finished beep and after three weeks without it working, we have a LOT of laundry to catch up on.  I think it's going to be be running non stop while I'm home for the next three weeks.

I hope you have a great Friday the 13th.

mmy,  I always love your random thoughts.  Nice to learn more about one of my favorite Rain friends.  Try to send some rain up north.  We are down at least four inches from our normal rainfall.  Happy 13th to you.

Gretchen- I think now that the dogs have mostly outgrown being puppies it has made the difference.  Oddly enough the other two cats were never phased by the addition of hte dogs.

Mary- Wish I could.  I hate when we get it ALL at once.

Brenda- he'll get home at about his bedtime.  He just called and he's about 1.5 hours out.... which is about what time he goes to bed on work nights.  He gets up at 4 to go back to work.  Of course two more days and then the "short week"  I love the short week. I get to see him.

Hi Tammy, we could use a bit of rain here, too, please! It's really weird to say this but I'm glad you get to do laundry again :-) I know those piles, the kind that grow enormous when I have busy, busy weeks.

I had a late evening walk-through yesterday. I like not having to worry about getting stuck in traffic but I hate not being home to tug the girls in at night.

Happy Friday the 13th and First-laid-eyes-on-Donald-Anniversary.

I'm glad you've had a productive Friday the 13th. It was pretty good for me too, so spittoey on those who think Friday the 13th is bad luck. I received several short sale approvals, listed a new home and closed an escrow. Life is pretty good! Of course, I'm luckier than you, Tammy, because I don't have to do the laundry at my house. My husband does it. :)

Absolutely.  Amazing.  Good.  Awww.

Stop paying for expensive TV commercials to solicit voters to approve raising taxes to pave the roads -- PAVE THE ROADS with the money you spend on the TV commericals -- absolutely!

Kitty comes out of the closet, after all these years -- amazing!

The rain gave you 4" of H2O -- good

AWWW -- ;-)
