I am very proud to announce the winners of the RESA Staging Industry Awards and I would like to say a few words about each person.

RESA Rookie Stager of the Year:

Bevin Googer

I have not met Bevin personally but I can tell you have heard a lot of great things about her. Bevin was trained by First Impressions Staging and Re-Design (Melissa Marro) Congrats Bevin!!

RESA Staging Realtor of the Year:

Terrylynn Fisher

Terrylynn is a Realtor and has been in the business for 30 years. She started staging her listings 18 years ago and now is the perfect example of how Realtors should work with stagers. Another amazing business women who is a mom, grandma and mentor. I am very lucky to have known Terrylynn for many years. She is generous, not afraid to tell you how it really is and gives the soundest advice ever! Congrats!!

RESA Professional Stager of the Year:

Kate Hart

Congrats Kate!! This is a very well deserved award. I met Kate several years ago and we hit it off for sure. We had a great "tag team" working relationship where she brought the clients in and I closed the deals.  I have known Kate to be a phenomenal trainer, stager and business women. In addition to being an amazing business women she is a wife and a mother and holds it all together!!

Staging Innovator of the Year:

Christine Rae

Congrats Christine!! I met Christine in early 2003. Over the years we have kept in touch and I can tell you that Christine Rae is one of the most giving, helpful, generous, inspiring people I have ever met.  Christine has always had a warm heart and has always been there for  everyone she knows including myself. She is an amazing business women and this is well deserved.

RESA Leadership Awards

RESA Chapter President of the Year

Charlene Storozuk

Halton & Hamilton-Wentworth RESA Chapter President

Charlene is the poster child for the PERFECT Chapter President. In a very short period of time Charlene has 18 chapter members, she is having regular chapter meetings, she got the owner of C2 paint line to speak at one of her meetings and she secured a deal for them to give her chapter members a 10% discount.  I have no doubt that Charlene will take this chapter and her members to new levels. Congrats Charlene!

RESA State President: Sharon Ahrens

I cant say enough about Sharon. Sharon contacted me many months ago wanting to get involved with RESA. Sharon has been a supporter and believer in RESA from the first day she read about it. I work on many projects at a time and Sharon is always there for me to bounce ideas off of, give input, etc. She has great ideas and cares about this industry. Congrats Sharon!

RESA RVP: Michelle Minch

Michelle Minch was also a believer in RESA from the beginning.  She stepped up to the plate to take on the Regional Vice President Position for California, Nevada and Hawaii. Michelle is one of the busiest stagers I know and she still makes time for RESA. We work on project via email and she is always there to give input and suggestions. I was able to meet Michelle a few months ago when I took a trip to Los Angeles and she is just as great in person as she is here in the rain. Congrats Michelle!

RESA National Board Member of the Year: Sheron Cardin

And Finally Sheron Cardin.  Can I say it's al her fault!! A little over a year ago I had the idea to start a trade organization. Not a new idea of mine because I was contacted by stager after stager telling me our industry needed this. Well long story short I had already been talking with Sheron on AR and I was on the fence about what to do for my next career goals etc. I ran this idea past Sheron about starting a  trade organization.  We bounced ideas back and forth. (she is the best collaborator) Sheron was the one that convinced me to start RESA.  With Sheron's help, feedback, advice and personal strength RESA was born. Sheron gives me feedback any time I need it day or night. She has great ideas and I could not be doing this without her.

I would like to personally congratulate not only the RESA Leadership Award recipients but the entire leadership team at RESA. I could not do any of this without each and every one of you. Your feedback, ideas and support are priceless and I am grateful for each of you. I feel so grateful that I get to work with such talented people each day. I get to work on many projects at a time because each of you stepping up and working with me.

I want to again congratulate each of the RESA Industry Award Winners again. The voting in each category was very close and everyone nominated is a winner!!

The actual awards will be ordered this week and I will have them delivered to each of you and all of the nominees will also get a nominee certificate.

Congrats to all!!

CONGRATULATIONS Ladies!!  What a fine group of winners and more importantly, a wonderful group of colleagues!  These awards are well-deserved and something for each person at AR and throughout the industry to aspire towards in their staging career!

Thank you to Shell for taking up the task of creating RESA.  I am glad that Sheron helped you find the path to develop a new association for us all to join and become a team together in this industry.  I am proud to be a member of RESA and a part of the community here at Active Rain.  Like many, I would be lost without the support and constant ideas which flow here each day!

The generosity of these winners is unparalleled and I hope that we will have an opportunity to meet each one of you in person some fine day in the not so distant future!!  I am proud of each one of you!!  Congrats!!  (Popping of champagne cork....whooo-hoooo!! Claps, cheers, fireworks and more!)

Warmest Regards-Kathleen G

PS-Congratulations to all of the nominees!! Each person contributes a great amount to the Home Staging industry and I hope you know that it was a tough task choosing between everyone.  Feel good about your well-earned nomination because every one of you professionals deserved it! : )

Congratulations Ladies...Proud to be in the company of such amazing women.  Wanted to also congratulate every one of the nominees...when you think about how many people are in this profession from all over the world, your nominations speak volumes of the work that you are doing and the work that you will continue to do.  No doubt we will all continue to hear of you and learn from you.  Lastly...one more big ol' congratulations to that tired-less Shell Brodnax that makes it all look so darn easy when we all know...that is certainly not the case!

RESA and it's members are starting off 2008 bigger than ever and what better way to do that than to acknowledge the shinning examples of the individuals lighting the way. These awards show all of us that we are a team! The sky is the limit when professional home stagers work together!

Scrolling down the list in this post was really exciting for me to see who won in which category...then I see my hat! Shell, you give me way too much credit but thank you so very much for the acknowledgment!!! I am very proud to be a part of something that will do so much good for so many. I was a loner all my career, especially in the beginning so I see RESA as a gift to all the up and coming stagers entering the field. It will be nice to have a group to lean on and look to for unconditional support in this industry.

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! YOU WILL HAVE THE DISTINCTION OF THE AWARDED TITLES UNTIL NEXT YEAR WHEN WE NOMINATE AND VOTE ON WHO KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF IN 2008! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Thank you Dane!! I appreciate the feedback. Has anyone noticed all the Realtors that have commented here???  This means we are reaching where we need to be.

We hope to accomplish the same for Stager Idol. Raise the bar on staging and tell the world about it.

I know I blogged this seperately, I want to be sure it doesn't get missed...

Thank you to all who supported me during the RESA Industry Awards. "Staging Innovator of the Year 2007" is a great achievement, one that I will wear proudly and although I would like to take a bit of credit, I have to say that my innovation accomplishment is a combined effort of many of you who stand with me to witness change and make this industry a great one to belong to. Although it takes only one person to have an idea and begin the ripple of change... it takes many to implement and make a huge impact in an industry as large as ours.

Only a small handful were nominated, however we know there are many who make a difference, you know who you are! Take a bow, and truly smile. Just this award ceremony is proof that this industry is growing leaps and bounds and you are part of it!

Shell, your ideas and dedication never cease to amaze me, you truly are an inspiration to many, and we are blessed to have you in the forefront of RESA.

Again, thank you to all who took the time to vote, your belief and support is greatly treasured. - Christine Rae
