However, the number of available properties in Placentia has plummeted 35% since the end of January of this year, and is at an extremely low level. This is especially true in the condo market, as there are only 13 condos for sale throughout the entire city of Placentia, California. The incredibly low inventory has led to multiple offer situations on desirable homes and condos, and has placed a bit of upward pressure on real estate prices in Placentia.

REAL ESTATE SALES JUMP 20.4% IN PLACENTIA CA FROM MAY TO JUNE 2012

Closed real estate sales increased 20.4% from May to June 2012 in Placentia. June's sales figures were also 76.6% higher than the real estate sales documented at the end of January of this year. The majority of the increase came from short sales that closed in the month of June 2012, and I suspect that we'll be seeing even more of these gains in the near future; Short sales have become more popular with Orange County home buyers that are frustrated by real estate investor competition on foreclosure properties.
