I am always aware of all the times I bought a home and what the circumstances where. I didn't act as my own agent either. My wife and I had a certain mindset as buyers. We concentrated on finding things that we liked and then going about the focused deliberate purchasing of that product. First, she would scout out an area. That s how it ll began

YOU BETTER BE READY..SHE SEZ

Then, she would find something she liked and the have it shown to her. Then, she came and got me if it was something she wanted. I then would get right to the point namely what will it take to get this home. Now multiple bids were not in fashion at the times I did this. Only a willing seller and a willing buyer and what they agreed to

SOLD...LET'S START PACKING

The results?...I would make an offer and it would be accepted and 30-45 days later, we were moving in. That is how we have bought the few homes we have owned. I am not sure I know any other way either. I never let the little stuff rock the purchase boat either. The mission was to get the home

IF YOU FIND IT...BUY IT

If you find something you like, you act like it and pursue it accordingly. You want to know everything about it and it all has a way of just presenting it self when you move with this mindset and purpose. Whatever problem that surfaced was subservient to us and we would solve it or correct it or perhaps even live with it. It was handled by us

STAYING PUT...?

We have enjoyed our purchases and have always upgraded the homes we had making our buyers very happy and then moved on. BTW, every-time I bought a home, I never even thought about the re-selling or moving. Everyone was the final purchase. Life is strange that way.

STATISTICS ABOUT US

I remember reading that the average family may move 3-7 times in their life time and thinking why would they do that? I joined that statistic for years but am glad to say...its over and I am staying put...(I hope)

There should be no bickering. The goal is to do a deal and to have both sides achieve their goal. One want so buy, one wants to sell.

Enjoy your castle and build a big moat. That way it is harder to leave.

Richie, I break all the statistics. Last house we stayed 11 1/2 years and this one is over ten with no intent on leaving anytime soon.
