NJ Home Stager: Creating Ambiance When Selling

When selling your NJ home you want buyers to love it the minute they walk in the door. One objective of this Morris County stager is to create that feeling of “home sweet home” by adding ambiance: The mood, quality, character, tone, atmosphere, etc., particularly of an environment.

Buyers purchase homes based on emotions more than any other financial investment. Why? Because a home reflects you, your family, your lifestyle and is the safe haven you return to every night. Moreover, it’s where you’ll spend holidays, entertain, raise your family and create memories for many years to come.

You’re not just selling your home, you’re selling a lifestyle. Have you ever visited a home and felt a warm, happy, welcoming vibe? This is usually attributed to the home’s ambiance. Lack of ambiance can have the opposite effect leaving you feeling cold and unwelcome.

Ambiance is created through accessories, lighting, furniture arrangement, plants, flowers, color schemes and focal points. In addition, you want to highlight and draw buyer’s eyes to your home’s architectural details like windows, a fireplace, built-ins, crown molding, hard wood floors – all the things at the top of most buyer’s lists.

The goal of every home stager is to showcase homes in their best light, while creating a warm, welcoming feeling making buyers literally feel this is the one – this is the home they’ve been searching for. Good home staging focuses on arranging each room in a way that buyers emotionally connect with.

By creating ambiance, you create emotional connections: subtle cues that help buyers envision themselves cooking in your kitchen, entertaining, enjoying a glass of wine on your patio, relaxing or taking a bubble bath in your tub. That’s why it’s so important to take advantage of each space, giving it purpose, while creating warm, welcoming ambiance.

Every home can benefit from staging - see our portfolio of staging transformations. If you’re putting your home on the market or it’s been sitting on the market for months with no respectable offers, call me, Kristine Ginsberg of NJ's Elite Staging and Redesign at 201-602-2562. We will employ proven techniques that create ambiance, emotional connections with buyers, while highlighting your homes most desirable features.

Ambiance I so agree Kristine is a feeling, an emotional connection to a setting. Your photos illustrate that perfectly, and that is what stagers are so good at too.

Kristine - Staging isn't just about placing furniture in a room.  It's the accessories, artwork, and thought that goes into creating a vignette or a mood that really captures a buyer's heart.  To me, that's the true essence of staging.  Your photos say it all!

Hi Kris ~ Ambience is what buyers can relate to ... what makes them want to live in a space.  Once the home has met their basic criteria (location, price, number of rooms, etc) then the ambience they "feel" there will help them decide if it's the home for them.  Staging can really help create that "feeling."

Kristine:  It is so true that when purchasing a home you are really buying a lifestyle.  That is just one more reason why a seller should hire a Professtional Stager such as yourself to create the ambiance that will welcome new buyers.  Great post.  "Suggested"

Hello Kristine,

You do have a magical touch, yes the first 90 seconds are crucial for a buyer to fall in love with a home. Your insight into staging is top notch, It would be hard to believe any prospect that enters a home staged by Kristine Ginsburg would not be on the top of the buyers list of homes to purchase. Great work.

Make it a great day !!

Thank you everyone for all your comments - I've read them all and appreciate each and every one! Because of time restrictions (mainly taking care and carrying around my 45 pup while her ACL heals) I'd rather stop by your blog and leave a comment there. My hope is that Realtors can print up these kinds of posts that will help their clients understand the importance of preparing their home for sale weather they decide to stage or not. Regardless, every seller needs some guidance when selling their home!

See you soon!
