Carlsbad New Mexico Farmers Market.

Every Saturday morning from 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Carlsbad has a Farmers Market.

This takes place on the courthouse lawn and has very easy access and plentiful free parking.

The drought has played a big roll in the Farmers Market this year. With the water restrictions and very little rain until recently. I think the growers are struggling to get a harvested crop.

But those who did show up. It was very nice to see and purchase some home grown organic vegetables.

Thank you Eileen.

Not too good of a showing for the veggies. But it's better than nothing.

Have a good day off today in Manhattan.

Thanks for sharing your visit to the farmers' market.  We are really enjoying the peaches and strawberries this year.  And, the corn is like being in heaven.

Have an outstanding week with your camera in hand.

Clint...definitely my kind of place.  I love fresh veggies and the bonus of being able to help out a local farmer.

Hi Clint,

No doubt about it, the Farmers Market is the place to visit. It's colorful and smells good. It's a healthy place to visit and you leave there feeling great because you helped a local Farmer and you knew where your food came from!

We should ALL support our local Farmer's Market. And when traveling, why stop at the same old Fast Food restaurant? Find out where the Farmer's Market is located and get there as fast as you can!

The last time I was in Florida, I stopped at the Farmers Market and stocked up on my travel needs. It was the best road trip because all I had to do was grab some fresh fruit and I was good to go! Also, fresh fruits and vegtables keeps me energized.

You did a great job promoting your Farmers Market and the presentation looks great too!

Clint - after seeing your post I could sure go for a fresh peach! We have a Farmer's Market every Saturday and there's nothing better than supporting local farmers while getting the freshest (usually organic) fruits and vegetables! Kudos to you for getting the word out reminding people to stop by the Carlsbad Farmer's Market!

Hello Joan,

There were not as much as I thought there would be. But this is still early for the season. Really dry here.

I hope to have better shots and posts in the future.

Hi Roy and Delores,

The peaches here are really sweet this year. A little smaller than normal but they are really, really good.

Have a good day in the Kentlands.

Hi Amy,

Try to get out to your local farmers market each weekend if possible. The vendors change and you never know what you might find.

Have a great day on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.

Hi Anita,

Do you have a fruit and veggie stand set up at the farm? Or do you have pumpkins late in the year? I love these places. And the little roadside stands too.

Have a great day in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Hello Patricia,

Nothing like the local favorite when traveling down the road. Seems the fruit keeps you awake and it tastes so good.

Have a great day in Flower Mound, Texas.

Hi Kristine,

So what is stopping you? There should be a stand somewhere by you. Just find out from a local farmer or vendor in the area. "WHERE ARE THE PEACHES AT". LOL

Have a great day in New Jersey.
