Shenandoah, Pennsylvania
The open-air Downtown Shenandoah Farm Market, the longest running such market in Schuylkill County, runs from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays at Main and Centre streets near the more than century-old Bolich & Burke building.
Regional farmers/growers offer locally gorwn produce, fruit, plants and baked goods. The market, launched in the early 1970s, runs from June through November, sponsored by the Greater Shenandoah Area Chamber of Commerce. Mark Bernardyn is chairman of the chamber's farm market committee.
Stop by for some fresh local produce and homemade foods.
Other local Schuylkill County farm markets are in Hometown, Pottsville, and Schuylkill Haven.

How I so love the farmers market here and enjoy just walking around and looking at the set up.
Erica -- there must be a quite a bit of history at the Downtown Shenandoah Farm Market after approximately 40 years. There's always something new to discover.
