I found this website to be both touching and interesting.

Of course the first place I looked was Riverside, Texas, and I found no names listed. Then I remembered that Dorie said that the soldier may be listed under a larger, nearby town. Well of course... Riverside's population today is only 510.  So I went to Huntsville (the largest city in Walker County) and found MANY who had served.  

Next, I looked up Trinity which is only 7 miles away from Riverside, but located in Trinity County.  Trinity's current population is around 2700. There were 2 soldiers from Trinity.

Vietnam touched every city in every state, regardless of whether or not your town has any soldiers listed. 

Take a moment to visit the website. I feel that, in some small way, it is a way of saying thank you.

I was blown away by this website where you can look up any state and city and see who was killed in the Vietnam War and review a brief biography of that person. What a painstaking undertaking this was and I applaud the completeness of this site and the ease of maneuvering to find a veteran who deserves our respect and honor. I know I appreciate as you do those who served in Vietnam and sacrificed for our country.

This website is really sobering. Take a minute and click on the link and find a city you came from and look at the names and their profiles.

The index is based on each casualty’s official home of record. It may be the place the person entered military service typically a nearby large city. If you don’t find the name where you expect look under nearby cities or go to the index pages by last name.

Those who remember that time frame, or perhaps lost friends or family can look them up on this site.
