Glad I stopped by Celeste... Beautiful flower and I agree with; If at first you don't succeed try try and try again..
Celests how cool that it finally bloomed after all this time. Gorgeous! And it's really special that it's a gift from your Mom.
Sally, you now have a gift that will keep on giving. Pretty flower
Sally looks like you and my wife share the same talent for plants, they usually don't last long around my house either. But it is nice to see that you were able to change that trend with your Pikake Flower.
Looks like you finally found your green thumb. Personally, I don't do well with plants at all.
Ah....a busy last few days....and the fruits of my labor ...... 6 days on the market ...ONE massive 45 minute showing on Sat. Am to 10 groups...and now in contract.
I love my 'garden'.
Sally - that is a beauty! I am convinced the green thumb exists in all of us...even if sometimes it only applies to grass! Have a great day!
Sally, that is a beautiful flower and a good analogy as a life's lesson. .
Okay, the flower is beautiful. But I'm more interested in the homemade chili pepper. Yummy!
Hi Sally - I know that many years from now that plant will give you comfort when your mom is no longer here. I have an azalea that is right outside our patio doors that was my mother's, and whenever it blooms I feel close to her, though she has been gone for years. I hope you and your mom enjoy it now, and that the day when you enjoy it for the memories is long in the future.
Beautiful post to go along with that lovely plant from your mom, Sally!
Sally - when it comes to gardens there are no success's or failures just learning experiences ..... sometimes it just takes longer to learn certain things.
