Pheasant Creek entrance on Old Richmond Road

Pheasant Creek (map) is on FM 1464 bordering Old Richmond Road and behind Summerfield. It is a fairly large subdivision with homes built from 1980 to 1992 with most built in the early 1980s. Home values range from $50,000 to $139,000 with an average of $91,000 and 1523 sq.ft. The cheaper homes are usually around thirty years old and show a lot of delayed maintenance. 

Schools and Colleges

Fort Bend Ind. School District has the public schools. Oyster Creek Elementary School is located on Mellow Oaks Lane off of West Airport north of Pheasant Creek, Garcia Middle School is neary on FM 1462 and Old Richmond and Austin High School is on FM 1464 nearby. A Wharton County Junior College trade school is located in Richmond. WCJC and the University of Houston have a joint campus on the west side of Sugar Land in Telfair.

Slaters sportsplex in Pecan Grove features volleyball and basketball training and competition,and Taekwondo martial arts school. Lamar Little League baseball and Sugar Land Little League is for children. Greater Sugarland Select Baseball (Nations) is available. FFPS Soccer (Fun Fair Positive Soccer) league is available for children. A YMCA sports complex is located in nearby Richmond on FM 762. Lifetime Fitness has a huge complex on SH 6 between 90 and 59.

Shopping.

Yes you are near the western edge of Houston, but there is plenty of shopping close by. There is a large shopping center at the Grand Parkway 99 and US 59 with an HEB supermarket. There is a Kroger supermarket near alt US 90 and 99 just south of FM 1464. This area of Telfair is developing into many shops and restaurants. Another large shopping center with a Kroger supermarket is located at US 59 and FM 762 in the edge of Rosenberg. A Kroger supermarket is located where Westhiemer joins the Westpark tollway and FM 1464. Numerous shops and restaurants are to be found along State Highway 6 First Colony Mall has a huge complex of shops and restaurants on US 59 between Sweetwater and SH 6. Additonally there are numerous shops and restaurants outside of the mall near the new "downtown" Sugar Land,

Entertainment

AMC has 24 theaters in Sugar Land near the Mall. Cinemark has a 12 theater venue at FM 762 and US 59. Sugar Land has a minor league baseball team, The Skeeters. Constellation Field is located near alt. US 90 and SH 6. Come embrace our mosquito population.
