Big Apple = Big ActiveRain Meet-Up.....Care to join us? Let me know!

Home Stager with Shaken...with a Twist 216.633.2092

Please go to It's official! The ActiveRain Meet-Up in the Big Apple is at the..... Thanks!

Just in case you missed it yesterday, I’m adding the link here to Anyone interested? I'm talking about a "meet up" in NYC.   Check it out and join us if at all possible.

Lets make this the biggest and best ActiveRain meet-up……….and where better to do that than in the Big Apple.

So far it looks like a group of 12 will be attending.  Of course we have Sheila Anderson, who pretty much got this whole thing started, Debbie Gartner, Janis Borgueta and Ellen Caruso who have made phone calls and sent e-mails letting others know about the meet-up, Marie Graham, Kristine Ginsberg, Wayne and Jeanne Zuhl, Mitchell Hall, Jill Sackler and J. Phillip Faranda…………oh yeah, and me.

We have a few other “maybe’s”, should we add your name to the list?  Our plan is to meet at Grand Central Station, more than likely at The Oyster Bar at 1 o’clock on July 31, 2012 for lunch.

Stay tuned, I will post the official place and time when it is firmed up.

If you’re interested in joining us, please let me know in the comment section of this post.

And if there is anyone else you think we should invite, feel free to send them over to this post.

Lets "rock it"!

Hoping to take a huge bite out of the Big Apple Wayne, thanks so much.

You rock Debbie, thanks so much for all of your help.  I'm truly looking forward to the meet-up too, it should be so much fun.  Any idea how many members attended the largest ActiveRain meet-up?  You think we can beat that record in NYC?

Wish you could attend Barbara, I love NYC so much and am so looking forward to being there and meeting so many members of ActiveRain.

Hope we have a huge turnout Janis and it's the biggest and best meet-up in the history of ActiveRain.  Thanks for your help!

Hop on a plane BARFF, would love to hang with you in NYC instead of Florida all the time.  ;~)

You think Debby is ready to meet this "mess" Q Man?  LOL.  She's never going to live that one down, but I love it.  Wish the two of you could be there too, it would just complete this impressive list of members perfectly!

Photos for sure #50................wish you could be in them.  You could write off plane fare and hotel as a business expense and be our resident photographer..............what do you think?

Well thanks quite a compliment, thanks so much James.

Same response as to Kathy............hop on a plane Toni, we'd love to have you join us.

I think you're wrong Sheila, not a winner every time.

Interesting Sally and David, I like it!

I think you're right MM..............can't wait for it to happen.

Hey Al and Peggy, I think I have his shoes or watch or something................probably a different Kenneth Cole!

Hi Roger --- I think you may want to re-think your venue --- it seems as if the number of attendees keeps growing, is Madison Square Garden available?  It meets your criteria of being close for out of towners but still a bit too far from this side of the world.   Have a great time and of course, as Roy Kelley says --bring your camera.

Roger - it's already on my calendar and I can't wait! What's really funny is Marty wants to meet you too. He's heard me laughing on the phone so many times with you, he wants to meet the guy who always puts a smile on my face! The Oyster Bar sounds great and I'll just take the train straight to Grand Central Station - so easy! This is going to be so much fun and what a great group of people - love them all!

Well, I tried.

I was going to take the day off, go to the nearest Amtrak Station and take the train to Grand Central.

HA!  You can't get there from here.

Roger - I will reblog

Lenn - Oh that would be soooo cool if you could make it.  Amtrak goes to Penn Station and then you can take the subway straight to Grand Central without even going outside.

Michael, Michael, are way too funny.  I am sitting here LMAO at your comment.  Madison Square Garden is an option, thanks so much!

Wouldn't that be a hoot Wanda..............

Absolutely Belinda, I'm sure there will be many taken..............this is so exciting.

Sure do wish you could be there'd be the only Oscar Winner there.

Make sure you bring Marty with you Kristine.................we'd all like to meet him too.  You know what I promised, and I never break a promise.

Lenn, check Penn Station like Debbie suggested.  If you don't want to take the subway from there, it's just a short cab ride.  It would be so cool to have you there.

Thanks so much for everything Debbie, you are a huge help making this a success.  Thanks also for suggesting Penn Station to Lenn.

Just a bit ago I got an e-mail from The Oyster Bar, they can accommodate us on the 31st at 1 o'clock, so it's official, the reservation has been made in my name.

Since we already have 16 that are interested in attending and the number is growing, I made the reservation for 24 people.   They plan on seating us in the main dining room at 2 tables of 12 that will be right next to each other.  If more than 24 show up, they are happy to add more tables to accommodate us,

I will write a post and inform the ActiveRain community of the final arrangements.
