The little guy, you know the one that doesn't know much about current events, big business let alone global problems goes about his everyday life not really caring who is running what. It is only when the quality of life is interrupted or put in jeopardy that people take note and ask questions. We are at the point where we have more questions than answers

MONEY IS NOT BEING SPENT

Big business is holding back billions from investing because they have a hug stake in the return on investment of said funds. Banks are skittish to loan out monies because of the new regulations that could affect that dynamic. The health care industry is holding its breath too

ON HEALTH CARE

The health care law makes it mandatory for people to have insurance. The only thing that will change this requirement is an act of congress. If a new president gets in office, that will take place. If not, the new actions stands. It is things like this that keep us all from getting back to normal...whatever that is

PAUSE BEFORE ELECTIONS

The medical industry, the banking industry, auto industry and related interests sort of go into a long pause prior to elections. Plaguing anyone who wins is the large uncooperative elephant in the room called unemployment. It just wont budge at this time

WANTING GOES ON HOLD

People have lost confidence of late not to mention their jobs, their homes and their health care. Spending money largely has to do with feeling good about yourself and your future in regards to wanting things. Needing things is another matter.

KEEP EYES OPEN

On need, the cost of food and goods are not reasonable and it is wise to take a second look before spending your money. The size and weight of items have been changed so that the retailers can make a profit yet the consumer is paying the same amount (or more) and getting less..

HOARDING MONEY NOT GOOD FOR CAPITALISM

Unless the morale of the population is encouraged and addressed, people will not only not spend, but continue to do what everyone else is doing. Hoarding money (if you have it) and waiting things out until the election resolves itself. Even then, it will take time for circulation to return to some normalcy...again..whatever that is

ELECTIONS USED TO MEAN SOMETHING

Elections used to be exciting in a sense. You had candidates that you really cared about and thought were good for the country. Now, it is a stressful weight on our well-being, economy and our future indicating that the battle going on behind the scenes rages on....

Richie- In my previous life I used to staff companies with support staff.  Whenever it was a major election year, my clients would put hiring on hold until after election.  About the only time they would hire someone was if it was a much needed replacement.

Kathy...proving the point of the post. In a few short months, perhaps we can start some really good forward movement

I hate to wish for time to speed up but I sure will be glad when the elections are over and hopefully we get a "real change" and hiring will once again begin.
