I like the idea of rewarding yourself after a closing. I probably do something, just have not really paid attention to it or made a point of planning what I will do to celebrate my next closing. Some closings are more special than others, especially with short sales. I'll have to think about the celebration part.
I agree it is nice to celebrate with something for yourself and all of your hard work. Sometimes it is possible and other times not so much, but a little something is very good. I like the photo of the beach where it says "Love Yourself" and I add to that as you did, do something for yourself even if it is small.
Ute, think about it when you are approaching your next closing; it does make it a little more exciting!
If time allows, my husband will celebrate with me and we do this by getting a slice of pizza (mine with a cherry coke) at a local pizza joint. Otherwise, I simply treat myself to a bottle of wine. And no, I don't drink the whole thing myself ;-)
What's the point of a paycheck if not to have a little fun with it, right? I save up after several closes and treat myself to a beautiful piece of pottery from one of our local stores. It's expensive so I have to space them out.
Malik, A good meal at one of our favorite restaurants is how we celebrate after a successful transaction. The best to you for many more closings this year!
wow like the evolution! maybe you will work your way up to buying another home!
Mary, its not about how much for me as much as its about the idea of doing something for myself. I have come to really enjoy that part. Thanks for sharing!
Bill, sometimes its something your business really needs, I say go for it!
Shannon, so you are a Blondie lover? very nice to meet another person like me; enjoy those blondies!!!
Margaret, Good idea; as long as you are doing something for you, I am all for it!
Wanda, Thanks you too, and hopefully you enjoy many of those nights out this year!
Mark, when I get to Millionaire status, then I will be buying investment properties with each big deal to increase my portfolio.
My husband and I go to Joe's Crab Shack and eat crab legs. It's a buttery, wet mess and so much fun. Not the typical dinner out.
Chris Ann, that sounds like tons of fun and tasty. Those little things help the journey seem a little bit better when there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Good Luck this year and I wish many crab legs upon you...:o)
