HAPPY MONDAY TO ALL OF ACTIVERAIN MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS!!!

I do not have a controversial topic today, nothing that will force Agents to debate nor argue over; Lets face it; it's Monday and hopefully we all had a successful weekend and find ourselves charged up for a great week ahead!

What I want to know today is a very serious; or at least it should be to anyone who sells Real Estate or anything for that matter...What I want to know is; how do you celebrate after you close???

I have gone through some epic battles to get deals closed and a few years back I decided that after each closing I would reward myself with a treat.  I feel its very important for us all to reward ourselves for our hard work. For me It all started back in 2007, I used to be in Love with this dessert that the    restaurant chain sells which is called a "Blondienow since I do not get any sponsorship points or dollars from Applebees; I'll just say that it taste DAMN GOOD! try one whenever you get a moment. Its basically a blonde color brownie with french vanilla ice cream and walnuts...WoW my Blondie days were magical...lol.  After the "Blondie's" ran its course I switched to another dessert; this time from Cold Stones Ice Cream  (Once again I am not getting paid by Cold Stones but this treat is very rich and tasty) whenever I closed I would always enjoy an " Apple Pie A La Cold Stone "  YUMMMMMMY (funny as I am writing this, its making my mouth water). As you can see I kind of have a sweet tooth. But after I ate the ice cream a few times (more like 10) once again I needed a new reward.  So I left desserts alone for a while and decided every time I close I would buy myself a pair of shoes, Loafers or sneakers (or all 3) , then it was sunglasses (anyone that knows me; knows I love sunglasses).  I then switched to video games (collectors games only; i.e. Nintendo original, Genesis etc...)  which helped me relax and enjoy some nights at home.  Now I am up to electronic devices; most recently an Ipad 2 and now I am upgrading my cell phone to the Samsung Galaxy 3 .  My next few closing gifts will be a combination of closings so I can book trips for miniature vacations throughout the year.  Next stop will be a weekend Vegas trip followed by a Miami run with the family.

I was just wondering if I was the only one doing these types of things post closing and if I am not; what are you all doing because you may just inspire my next level of rewards to myself.

Have a happy and Successful day everybody, remember "While your out making a living, don't forget to live"  so work and play and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

I like the idea of rewarding yourself after a closing.  I probably do something, just have not really paid attention to it or made a point of planning what I will do to celebrate my next closing.  Some closings are more special than others, especially with short sales.  I'll have to think about the celebration part.

I agree it is nice to celebrate with something for yourself and all of your hard work.  Sometimes it is possible and other times not so much, but a little something is very good.  I like the photo of the beach where it says "Love Yourself" and I add to that as you did, do something for yourself even if it is small.

Ute, think about it when you are approaching your next closing; it does make it a little more exciting!

If time allows, my husband will celebrate with me and we do this by getting a slice of pizza (mine with a cherry coke) at a local pizza joint. Otherwise, I simply treat myself to a bottle of wine. And no, I don't drink the whole thing myself ;-)

What's the point of a paycheck if not to have a little fun with it, right?  I save up after several closes and treat myself to a beautiful piece of pottery from one of our local stores.  It's expensive so I have to space them out.

Malik, A good meal at one of our favorite restaurants is how we celebrate after a successful transaction. The best to you for many more closings this year!

Mary, its not about how much for me as much as its about the idea of doing something for myself.  I have come to really enjoy that part. Thanks for sharing!

Bill, sometimes its something your business really needs, I say go for it!

Shannon,  so you are a Blondie lover? very nice to meet another person like me; enjoy those blondies!!!

Margaret, Good idea; as long as you are doing something for you, I am all for it!

Wanda,  Thanks you too, and hopefully you enjoy many of those nights out this year!

Mark, when I get to Millionaire status, then I will be buying investment properties with each big deal to increase my portfolio.

My husband and I go to Joe's Crab Shack and eat crab legs.  It's a buttery, wet mess and so much fun.  Not the typical dinner out.

Chris Ann, that sounds like tons of fun and tasty.  Those little things help the journey seem a little bit better when there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  Good Luck this year and I wish many crab legs upon you...:o)
