58 Comments on A list of some text lingo and acronyms used when chatting.....
Gr8 post! I recently blogged about written English dying out, and texting overflowing into other means of communication, like Facebook and email. Thanks for some of the less obvious acronyms. C U l8r!
Acronyms help when you have limited characters such as twitter and texting. I am an old modemer (a pre-Internet dinosaur) and I am astounded at how large the acronym list has grown. I still don't know what BARFF is though... LOL
I know most of them, but there are still some that trip me up now and then. I've actually had to turn to google to translate, LOL!
Thx Roger TIG!! LOL!
Thanks for the lesson, Roger. I didn't know a lot of these, but then I am not a texting fan. Too clumsy with my thumbs.
Roger:
OMG, DYLI! IMHO I sometimes SMH when I read my daughter's text messages to me. WTG and TX. K.
Couple of years ago, like you Roger, I never thought I would ever..ever..ever use them. I even use them in emails now. I have to google some new ones that I never heard of before, Tx for the link.
Hi Roger,
Thanks for sharing.
Your list definitely helps; I receive text all the time that I can’t read.
In the future I’ll reference your list.
Have a wonderful day!
Have you seen the "senior" version? Pretty damn funny.
A couple of these I didn't know. And with my advanced age I probably won't remember them.
Good evening, Roger. Most of these I knew. BTW, COTF!!! (Congrats on the feature)! Okay, so I made it up!

Parents and Grandparents that text with their children and grandchildren need to be aware, even though this was just for fun, the kids use them and stump the elders.
Sometimes it's easy just to write out the word, but hey, I don't make the rules.
Like I said earlier, this was just for fun, so keeping with that theme:
You made me do it Mr. Ames but it's great, I love it!
