Dragon Fly StrengthIn working with other people in life business and personal, you never know sometimes what they are really made up of inside, "their character" till you put them through some heat, some boiling water, some trying times, some difficulties. Many people smile around you all the time and are thought to be wonderful people, but TRULY are made up of TERRIBLE character.

Crunch Time Is That Test To Reveal One's Character.

Being a natural heart reader I "GET" people most of the time on a first read. They leave tell tale signs especially how they treat others who can do nothing for them. How they treat others behind their back, the waiters and waitresses that are beneath their exalted selves. You will find your true friends when you yourself are in dire straits.

Count "CHARACTER" very high up on your list on who you choose to associate with in life.

They are people that time and time again come through for you!!

They are the ones worthy and deserving of your love and attention, time and devotion. You're just wasting your time with the low character types. They have the morals of a slug. And at the least wift of a strong breeze are IN IT for themselves, ONCE AGAIN.

You may be fooled once as a mistake in your life, but if you go back for a second dose fooled by their wide grinning smile, that for you is a CHOICE. A very foolish choice. Good character people reflect well on you as a person too.

It is so real and true.  When you get right down to it Character is all that counts in the end.

I have been fooled many times - tricked by the big smile.  My husband can tell with a handshake who the good guys are.  Not me - I like everyone until they stab me in the back.

Good point on watching how people treat waitresses and other service people.  Interesting how they can find reasons not to tip, and sometimes complain to the manager, just because they can.  Can you tell that I used to be a bartender?  :)

Hi Gary, first- what a fantastic photo and while I agree that character, the true stuff that we are made of is so important, it's been my experience that we might expect to see the worst come  out when  people are  in boiling water :-]

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and even when I suspect their motives and character, I am always disappointed when they let me down. It's a sad thing when we are reminded that there are some nasty people in the world.  I too watch for the way people treat other people - you are right, it is a huge clue as to their character.

Count "CHARACTER" very high up on your list on who you choose to associate with in life.  Never any sounder advice given my friend.

It would be so much easier if everyone wore a sign around their neck with an honest description of who they really are... imagine how much time that would save!

It's cliche, but life really is too short to associate yourself with people who bring you down. I do the same...look at the way others treat service people, etc, to see what their character really is.

So does this mean if I don't have good character I could get better? Here's the character I'm shooting for. She's a character with character!

Gary,

The fiery trials definitely refine all our hearts.  Yet, sadly, some miss it as character seems to be lacking.  Good post... g
