Pasadena Community Church is located at 227 70th Street South, St. Petersburg, Florida 33707, Tel. 727-381-2499, it offers a wonderful youth sports program in its very own gym. It is very well known in the area for its recreational youth basketball program, with players ranging from first grade through high school. At the younger age range, the co-ed teams are giving boys and girls the opportunity for a fun and safe introduction to the sport. Older players focus on improving their skills further, and fine-tuning their technique. My children are playing their 2nd season there, and are excited to go to practice and games every single time!
Here the best part: The league is open to anybody! Costs are $75.-/player for a 8 week session, one weekday practice and Saturday morning game. It is run in a very friendly and welcoming spirit, here a direct quote from their website: “… we strive to provide your children with a unique opportunity unlike other recreation programs. We will not only teach them the basic skills, but our goal is to also teach them the importance of good sportsmanship and respect for their coaches as well as their teammates.
