Seriously? Why do you CALL &/or TEXT at ridiculous hours?

6:55 am (call)  Good morning Mr. Realtor.... Do you realize it's 6:55 am and my family is trying to sleep in on this beautiful summer morning? 

11:45 pm (text) Good Evening Mr. Seller.... Do you realize that we have already gone to bed by 11:45 pm?

6:45 am (text) Good morning Mrs. Divorced Seller... Yes, your ex-husband did text me his complaints at 11:45 pm last night, but do you realize you are calling me at 6:45 am - only 7 sleeping hours later?

7:13 am (call) Good morning Ms. Nosey Neighbor... Yes, the weeds are growing in your neighbor's short sale property.  It should be closing soon. 

7:22 am (text) Good Morning, Mr. Seller's girlfriend... I know you don't want to take his 5 pets out for a walk today, but I'm trying to sell his home. 

11:55 pm (call) Good Evening Ms. Cross Agent... Yes, I was still answering my emails, but I wasn't calling at 11:55 pm!

6:00 am (call) Good Morning Mr. Referral - Yes I am happy you are calling me, but we are on AZ time, not NY time.  

6:15 am (text) Good morning Mr. Lender... Yes I will get you that one last bank statement by tomorrow. I'm going back to bed - I'm exhausted!

8:00 am, 8:15 am, 8:30 am, 8:45 am, 9:00 am SUNDAY MORNING (Good morning MLS agent - "Can I show your home on Lynx Dr. at 9:15 am today?"   AAAAAaaaaaaaa!!!!! 

Does this ever happen to you? 

You say: 

(1)  "But turn your phone off."   I say, "Do you have elderly parents or teenagers that you need to listen for? I do."

(2)  "Leave a voice mail that says, 'if you are calling after 8pm or before 8am, I will return your call...'" I say,  "I do have that on my voice message."  "Is there a text feature like that?"

(3)  "Set up expectations with your clients in the beginning".  I say,  "I do, but when they see emails coming from me at any time of the day or night, they think I must never sleep and it's okay."   I also say, "But why are Realtors calling and texting at crazy hours?!!"

(4)  You say, "Don't answer".  I say, "I don't usually, but I do get up to look and see if it's my family calling or texting".  For example I had 3 calls and 3 text messages all before 8 am this am.  I got up 6 times to see who it was that keet calling and texting.  I answered one of the texts with, "I'm happy to call you at a reasonable hour."   

Well now that I've vented and it's 10:46 am, I think I'll call that irritating agent back.
