Recycling In Tucson - Drop-off Locations Near You
I had a request yesterday on a previous blog of mine regarding the recycling of hazardous materials in Tucson and I decided to expand upon it in this posting. Here's the old posting:
Where To Recycle in Tucson AZ - Hazardous Household Waste & Other Items
The viewer wanted to know where to go with recyclables when one’s neighborhood doesn’t offer a recycling pickup program.
Google, of course is very resourceful. J
Currently there are 13 centers for recycling located in the Tucson area. Here’s a link to a map. I find it amazing that recycling isn’t mandatory, but that’s another blog…
I also with Brush and Bulky were available throughout all of the greater Tucson area…but that’s another wish list…
So, if you would like to GREEN up your own little area of Tucson that doesn’t yet have a Blue Barrel Recycling Program in place, please visit the map for the closest location near you.
What can you recycle: 1-7 plastic soda and water bottles, 1-7 plastic containers, 1-7 plastic bottles and jugs, clean corrugated cardboard, paper bags and newspapers, paperboard, molded fiberboard (egg cartons) magazines, notebooks, glass food and beverage jars, milk cartons and drink boxes, printing and writing paper, junk mail, brochures, etc. (No plastic bags or Styrofoam please!)
So there you have it. Help Green up Tucson with proper recycling of your regular, and your hazardous household materials. Reduce...reuse...recycle. It makes sense.
