Homes for sale in Providence Plantation currently range in price from just under $300,000 to almost $1 million - there's a style and price range for everyone. What I love about this neighborhood (and I live in Providence Plantation myself), is that the developers had a wonderful vision of preserving the trees and the topography of the neighborhood when they developed. They didn't come in and scrape all the trees and build cookie-cutter homes - you'll find lot sizes from .25 acres to over 4 acres, and homes ranging in size from 2,500 SF to over 8,000 SF! There are brick, stone, wood, stucco or vinyl homes...2 story, 3 story, ranches, basement, traditional and contemporary homes. You'll find a welcoming group of neighbors because everyone seems to have come from somewhere else!
Homes for sale in Providence Plantation tend to hold their value, because home buyers are always looking for well-built homes in great locations with great public schools. Providence Plantation suffered some price declines during the real estate market crisis, but not nearly as steep declines as in some other areas of Charlotte and in the country as a whole. In 2011, 66 homes were sold in Providence Plantation, at a median price of $375,000, with a 96% list-to-sales price ratio.
