Want to beat the heat?  Play in the sprinklers!

This little bird knows that.  The other day I was with my clients  at a home inspection on their new purchase at Kavala Ranch in Rancho Cordova California.  It was close to 100 degrees and we were all melting, when I noticed this little guy having a wonderful time in the back yard.

It should remind us all not to forget the simple truths we learned as children, and have some fun along the way.

So go ahead - play in the sprinklers!

I think we all could use a little dash through the sprinklers every now and then. If we can't have a little fun here and there what's all of this for? Hope you find yourself a sprinkler tomorrow Susan! :)

Hi Susan,

My Terrier loves to play in the sprinklers but my other two want nothing to do with the water. Animals are so funny.

Good video and very entertaining.

Jay - Thanks!  I just might do that!  It's supposed to be warm again and back to triple digits by Monday.

Kristin - They are funny - and fun to watch.  Our cats don't "play" i the sprinklers, but Charlie, one of our cats, will walk right through them if he wants to get to the other side of the yard to his favorite bush to nap under.  Our neighborhood blue jays often fly through the spray, back and forth like they're having fun, but they don't splash in it.  The little guy in this video was just really playing and having a blast!

Fun video and I love the idea of having fun while trying to stay cool. Glad to hear that you and your clients have a problem under contract. Have a great day.

We used to love doing that as kids. You can cool off, have fun, and STILL water the lawn!! How cool is that?

Hi Susan That was pretty " Cool" . By the way, did you and clients walk through the sprinklers, inquiring minds want to know, LOL.

Well, guys.  I have to admit that we didn't run (or walk) through the sprinklers at the home inspection, but I did let the sprinkler kind of hit me when I watered that evening as I went out to get the cats in for the evening.

And it did feel great!  I have so many memories of all the neighbor kids converging on our front lawn to run through the sprinklers when I was a kid and then the next generation doing the same thing when my kids were little.  Maybe we need to stop worrying about being "grown ups" every once in awhile and just do something silly and fun.
