In March last year, Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) was introduced. Now, 17 months later, Microsoft is advertising it on TV like it just came out.

It's a decent browser - certainly much better than IE8 - but why all the delayed hype?

I understand IE10 is almost ready for release, but since there is no inventory of IE9 on the shelves this ad blitz makes no sense for moving the product.

I'm sure the cable stations are happy to have the ad revenue, but other than that, I don't get it.

Steve

I guess if you have the money you can advertise what you don't have.

Good luck and success.

Maybe they are preparing us for all the problems we are going to have with IE10 and want us to have a backup disc of 9 on file.

I plan to let you guys try it out first.

I learned quite a while ago that it is not a good idea to pioneer on too many fronts. I do not want to do the debugging for M$.
