Six Flags America in Largo, MD & Lynyrd Skynyrd: Military Appreciation Day September 22nd, 2012
Throwing Lynyrd Skynyrd in the same sentence as Six Flags may seem a little odd at first but they actually do have a couple of things in common: good times and an appreciation for the troops and their families! On September 22nd, 2012 Lynyrd Skynyrd and Six Flags America in Largo, MD in tandem with the Naval District Washington will join forces for a Defenders of Freedom Appreciation Day.
Six Flags America has been holding military appreciation days for some time now, closing down the park to the public and inviting military service members and their families to a whole day of fun. There possibly is no better way to let loose, leave the worries at home for a day and just have a great time.
On the next Defenders of Freedom Appreciation Day September 22nd, 2012, gates will open at 10 am. This is a private event and tickets must be purchased upfront. Tickets are not entirely free but reduced to only $18/person (regular admission is $56.99 and advanced tickets are $39.99). The first 5,000 tickets sold will include free admission to the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. Let the run of the ITT/ITR offices throughout the Naval District Washington begin!
THANK YOU! Six Flags America and Lynyrd Skynyrd. We'll see you September 22nd!
