Late Night at the Dallas Museum of Art - Dallas

By
Real Estate Agent with United Real Estate Dallas TREC# 0544069
Tonight is Late Night at the Dallas Museum of Art. It is predicted that it will be 105 degrees in Dallas today. What a perfect night to go from your air conditioned office or home, to your air conditioned car, to the air conditioned Dallas Museum of Art!  Remember that this event is for the entire family.

Children's events at Late Night at will include the opportunity to put a personal touch on a three-dimensional Dallas cityscape, a chance to create an original bandanna design, and Yoga instruction.

This is the perfect opportunity to learn about and walk through the George Gross Exhibit: Flower of the Prairie: George Grosz in Dallas .

There will be five music performances to enjoy as you stroll through Late Night at Dallas Museum of Art. In the Atrium the Bent Penny String Band will perform in the early evening and the Saints of Valory, a popular Austin band, will play beginning at 11:00 pm. Brad Leali, will entertain those in the American Galleries with jazz from the 1950s. The Horny Toad Rangers will also perform in the American Galleries early in the evening. Milo and Rachel Deering with their Acoustic Kitchen Band will be featured on the main stage.

For those with an interest in water color Painting Late Night at the Dallas Museum of Art will sponsor a water color demonstration by artist Scott Winterrowd. I find this medium fascinating. It takes exceptional talent to paint with watercolors as they are not forgiving as you place your brush on the paper! If you are interested in learning about this art, or increasing your appreciation, this is a good opportunity to learn from a master.

Food will be available at the Cafe featuring Tapas and beverages. If you prefer to eat outside, Dallas' premier food trucks will be near by.

Shopping is a bonus, as the Museum Store is having a sale!

A complete schedule of events is available at the Dallas Museum of Art.

Great Program and Museum to have in your city.  Love the look and clean modern lines of the building.

Sharon, What fun!  Makes you want to visit the museum and enjoy the events that they are hosting!  We have the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Ct.  Mostly, during the winter holidays, they hold special events for families.  I have held my client tea gatherings at the museum and my clients enjoy the afternoon viewing the many exhibits.

Sharon, hope you were able to attend this event. What a great way to give people an opportunity to visit a museum who would otherwise not be able to because of their work schedules.
