Palm Harbor Getting More Reclaimed Water

By
Real Estate Agent with Charles Rutenberg Realty

Palm Harbor citizens can celebrate the fact that the city is bringing reclaimed water to more homes! The city is laying pipes Belcher and US 19 (east-west boundaries) and Alderman and CR 39 (east-west boundaries) to expand the area already benefiting from being able to water their lawns and shrubs with reclaimed water.

The additional eight miles of pipes is costing the city $1.5 million, but it is a project that we desperately need as we see our local water shortages increasing and drought conditions not improving. This is something that needs to be expanded throughout the county!

This is very wise considering the latest round of drought mitigations coming your way, in our area all the center medians, street side landscaping and golf course are reclaim. And residents with shubs, near the city maintained landscaping can also apply to get free water for that. Lance

Hi B & BJ - This is a great idea and should have been thought of years ago. Crisis can bring on positive change. I hope other parts of the country catch on! Atlanta?
