Maui County seems to be a part of some big real estate purchases lately, with Larry Elison buying 98% of Lanai and Bio-Logical Capital's recent negotiation on the purchase of Hana Ranch here on Maui which measures 4,500 acres. Hana Ranch consists of the land surrounding the lovely town called Hana, including the land between the town and the ocean. The ranch is made up of 3,000 acres of pasture land and 1,500 acres of forest preserve.

Bio-Logical Capital is a land investment company based in San Francisco. A spokeswoman stated that the purchase of Hana Ranch would help the company manifest its goals of making long-term investments in projects that heal land and communities through stewardship development and to continue the legacy of this remarkable ranch.
