Real Estate in East Valley Arizona
Being that I am mainly a "buyer's" agent, I wanted to create a post for this contest from the selling side, thinking that I can get feedback from the members of ActiveRain and improve my craft in listing homes for sale.
With real estate in general, I rely heavily on the fact that I am honest, trustworthy and hard working. I will never claim to know everything, but if I don't know something, I will surely find out. It really helps having brokers that I can rely on for assistance and advice.
At a listing appointment, I don't go in with a sales pitch. I go in prepared with a knowledge of what their home is likely worth and what kinds of issues they might be up against. After greeting them and seeing their home, I ask them what they would like to happen and I listen. If they have questions, I answer them as best I can. Once they are done letting me know what they are wanting, I will go over what I can do for them in order to address all of their needs. Before leaving their home, I will leave them with a Seller's Guide that I have created, which outlines the tasks I will perform in listing their home. This is an impressive piece and they usually are very grateful to have it.
I look forward to seeing all of the other posts and picking up some tips!!! Great contest.

Brian, It's odd how we sell to buyers in some years and in other years, we are listing queens or kings:) Having knowledge of both sides is advantageous to both us and our clients:) Hoping to post a listing side post this weekend!
Best of luck!
Fran:)
