Celebrate Luxembourg heritage in Belgium the weekend of
August 10-12!
FRIDAY, AUGUST 10 -- Wine tasting, featuring wines from Luxembourg and around the world -- 6:00-9:00 pm at Cedar Beach Inn. The cost is $25/person or $45/couple.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 11 -- Green Heart 5K Run and Walk begins at 7:30 a.m. The fee is $15 per person with a family fee of $40. Each participant also receives a t-shirt.
The annual Luxembourg Fest parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs from the west end of Main Street to Community Park. Music, food and refreshments will be available 12:00-4:00 p.m.
At noon there will be a mustreipen eating contest, and the Luxembourg fun Brass Band will perform from 12:30-4:00 p.m. in the park.
You can enjoy more wine and champagne tasting at the Luxembourg American Cultural Center 1:30-3:00 p.m.
In the evening, head to the Prairie Conference Center of West Bend Mutual Insurance in West Bend for the Green Heart Gala Dinner auction, which begins at 5:00 p.m. Reservations are required.
Throughout the day you can also enjoy craft sales, a tour of the Belgium Fire Department, children's games, and several other activities.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 12 -- Outdoor Mass begins at 10:00 at Community Park. The duke and duchess will be crowned after the Mass. Also available following Mass are food stands that will be serving mustreipen, country sausage, kuchens, pies and other desserts from 11:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
