Here in Denver's Historic Neighborhood of Capitol Hill, we have Argonauts Wine & Liquor, one of the largest and best stocked liquor stores in the state of Colorado.
Almost daily you can receive e-mails regarding wines and spirits that "Arggy's" (as it is affectionately known) has a special on. You can order a bottle or two of the daily special, try it, and if you like it, you can go back and get a case (or more) at the special rate.
Recently I purchased a Cab that I had never heard of. But, I enjoyed it so much I went back a purchased an entire case! It is the Bauer Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley, 2009 vintage.

The wine manager at Argonauts said:
"A full-bodied and rich Cabernet, this wine is dark ruby in color, with aromas of dark fruit and cloves. Flavors of black cherries and blackberries emerge upon the palate. The fruit is beautifully balanced with a smooth, long finish. This wine has tremendous structure without the feel of excessive tannins or oak. Serve with grilled lamb chops or braised short ribs."
I am a red wine girl, so I drink my reds anytime, anywhere! The price point on this wine is around $15. I would love to know what my Activerain Wine Buddies think of this selection. Try it and let me know!

Kerry, Argonauts sounds like the place to go for fine wine and spirits. It's great to know that you have an expert that can recommend different options to you.
