What?  You've Never Heard of Cowpie Bingo?Moo! Cowpie Bingo!

Truth be told, I hadn't heard of it until a month or so ago.  Imagine a grid.  In this case, 20 x 25, 1 foot squares in a nearby field.  Now add a fence and a cow and you've got Cowpie Bingo!  The cow roams around in the fenced in area and we wait for her to do her "business".  (Hence the cowpie.)  

If the lady can't get the job done (in 30 minutes), we'll give the steer a chance (for another 30 minutes) after that, we'll just draw a ticket.

Why am I even mentioning Cowpie Bingo?  Believe it or not, it's a fundraiser for Rotary club.  Every year we host the Smokin' Brew BBQ, a national barbecue competition complete with good food, beer, music and now Cowpie Bingo.  We are asking for a $10 donation to our Rotary club.  What do you get for your $10?  A chance to win $10,000.  Pretty good trade off, wouldn't you say. 

Smokin' Brew BBQ will take place over Labor Day weekend. The Cowpie Bingo event will happen on Sunday, September 2nd at approximately 2pm.  You do NOT need to be present to win.

Now you know the "scoop".  (Pun intended!)

Charles~ We are hoping that it's a huge draw to the Smokin' Brew event.  I know I'll be there!

Jerry~ Parker is just a "short" drive from San Antonio!  Tee hee!  Pick up Joni Staples along the way!

Rebecca~ I believe this is the 4th year for the BBQ.  There's a lot of planning that goes in to the event.  So far, it's been a big hit for us.

Edward & Celia~ You'd be surprised.  The "town" folk are pretty excited about it.  Rich has sold more than 60 tickets.  (We have a total of 2000 to sell.)
