63 Comments on he got me curious
Hi Jay,
I am confused about the SEO too but I struggle along and I will get calls and emails and they will mention a post over a year ago or more. I just keep plugging along and hoping it is working but making good AR friends in the process.
This is so cool, so I thought I would google myself Secretary Park Rapids MN and guess what showed up...thats right my active rain profile!!!! Thanks for the great info!!!
It all works. But, if you want to maximize your returns nothing works better than the implimentation of a great strategy. Call or write if you ever need guidance.
Phil
Always a good reminder to stay the course, keep posting.
This is also a good reminder to remain curious. You never know what you might learn.
Jay, I agree! I've got some posts that i wrote 2 years ago that still rank high, and I don't know why!!! Not going to worry about it though, it's working for me while I'm sleeping and doing other things!
Congrats to you! Catchy title, got me curious!
Very interesting. I'm learning more about this whole blogging, SEO, Google Juice, website presence, etc. stuff everyday. Just when I'm in a comfort zone and finally think I've got a handle on it something new pops up and voila I'm back out there picking you know what with the chickens. LOL!!
Good for you! Those "tags" don't hurt either when it comes to staying power. Best of luck!
Once again thank you all for your comments. I have read them all and something happened. you all
made me curious
so i tried something different, i "googled" cape coral loan officer, and my AR profile showed up. under it is a subtitle stating blogs containing cape coral, but that was not there last week when i did the same thing.
so i've got tags that reference cape coral, it's the city of my business, it's in my address, and i try to make sure it's referenced when i blog about anything that has or may have a relationship with the cape, and i attempt to blog frequently.
so somewhere in all that i show up on the top.
why? i don't know.
happy blogging.
thanks
jay
Dear Jay,
You are not the first to talk about the long-time value of your past blogs. Now we just need to know, which topics seem to have such power.
Jay, this was so ironic, because at about 2:30am, I decided to google myself, what the heck, and then wrote a post about it today...a bunch of us were on the same wavelength, as I saw a couple of others pop up in the blogroll this morning with the very same thought. History pays in google juice. You did Steve proud!
Dorte,
unfortunately, i have no idea. wish i did.
Gayle,
great minds think alike. that explains why you and Steve had an interest in the topic, the jury is still out on me.
Thanks,
Jay
Active Rain does a great job of studying and sharing Google's newest ranking techniques to help us understand how to optimize our SEO.
Sharon,
I know that they understand and do a fantastic job.
One very big THANK YOU for their efforts.
thanks
jay
Bob had shown us that you can look at your past posts and see how much traffic they've recieved. If they are posts generating a lot you might want to consider reposting it with some updates or changes. I am still needing to do that!
Amy
i'm not sure i know how to do that, repost. does that mean rewrite with additions, teeks?
thanks
jay
We're new to blogging, so your post just helped to affirm why we need to move forward...thank you for the great post!
Mike & Marie,
Initially I wondered what the benefits would be. I was certainly okay with sharing my knowledge and experience(s) with others, but then the clients started calling.
I average 5-6 closings from blogging per year. I'm looking to improve those numbers.
good luck
jay
