train graffiti

Everywhere we go we see the misplaced artwork of unsupervised youth.

There are a lot of budding artists all over.  There should be a way to channel all that creativity!

Just think how lovely it would be if that which is intended to ruin peoples stuff could be used to create murals in ugly spaces.

The spray paint used on this train is not cheap.  The access to the "canvass" is usually in unsavory areas.  The reason to do the drawing is not a right one.

How we use the talents and abilities we have been given is important.  Not only do they help us be all we can be, but they can make the world a better place.

That is what it is all about isn't it?

What is the point of creating pain and destruction?

How many of these young artists have passed through our lives.  How many could we encourage and how many art projects can we find that really need to be done?

There has got to be a way to redirect!  How many can we reach with some reality?

I think it is time to try.  They may not be Real Estate professional material.  On the other hand, they might be.  We do not only sell homes.  We sell a lifestyle.  We teach people everyday.

Since we see  visible signs that there is a need to re educate youth,  perhaps we as a LARGE group can think of ways to make a difference!

Funny I was looking at a train today stopped near my house and noticed all the graffiti on the side of the box cars.

Hi Jeanne & Ralph, your post hits home for me, literally. Where I grew up, graffiti used to be a major problem. Thanks to a bunch of people recognizing it as art and the initiatives they successfully started, it's actually helped to beautify the city. They held contests and hired graffiti artists to spray paint walls in a tunnel, along the zoo, dowtown ... the end result is spectacular and a lot less of illegal activity occured since others will never spray an area that had been tagged by an artist.
