As we begin to plan our time and sppointments for the upcoming week, we have to start with the potential of running errands for our research project .
This headache provider has been in title since the first week in May and should have closed in late June.
We have so far helped in the solution finding for curing more glitches in title than we have ever seen on one property in our combined 50 plus years in this business.
Next week we will see how many new things they come up with to prevent closing.
It looked on Friday like all we still had to conquer was finding who the title company would accept to sign a waiver on a first right of refusal placed on the deed in 1958.
The man who did that has been dead since 1992, and as far as we can tell his heirs are also gone. The corporation he had is also defunct.
In our research to date we have run out of leads.
Friday an outside attorney entered the mix. He is supposedly going to coordinate with the title company and supposedly has experience in matters such as this.
Tomorrow promises to be exciting!
None of this stuff came out as the problem it has proven to be on the original title commitment. If we knew then what we know now, we would both have more hair.
