Life is short, Don’t waste the time you have

After what we have gone through in Aurora, Colo. since Friday morning, it made me think how short life could be. Luckily the gunman’s gun jammed or more people could have lost their life. Lucky that the police department was only about 1 mile away. Lucky that there where so many brave people in the theater. Lucky that the police officers that saw the gunman in the back parking lot realized he was not a squad member.

I feel sorry for all the people that are recovering from their wounds and sorry for those families that lost a friend or loved one.

I have received so many phone calls from friends and relatives back east to make sure I was not at the movies that evening.

Yes life is too short, but to have it taken away early is just not right. Aurora, Colo. will always remember this tragic event.

The news coverage seemed to have taken a back seat yesterday, and I think that's good. Giving this gunman anymore press is probably just what he wants. It'll take time for the community of Aurora to heal from this one, but they will.

It certainly is a Horrible Tragedy Will. I feel for you and your Community. It is very disturbing for all of us. Too common of an occurrence in our Country any more. Life is short - you are absolutely right. I just took a few moments from work to enjoy some Butterflies on my Butterfly bush. You have to seize the moment. I'm glad I did.

My daughter is a Nursing student at the Aurora campus where the shooter once attended. Grateful, grateful that she is okay. So terribly sad for the those who were not safe that night - and of course their families. I wish for healing days ahead for the people of Aurora, Colorado.
