Kathy, very intelligent use of area rugs in staging a home - and I can vouch for it...
(though in one recent case, I had to request the seller to remove Area Rug, just because...)
Hi Kathy ~ Love all of the rugs in your photos -- and they certainly DO add color and interest to a home's overall appeal!
We also use 5 x 8 rugs, especially when the home has beautiful hardwood floors that we want to highlight for buyers.

Timely post for me...........we spent some time yesterday deciding which area rugs to take to The Berkshires before we made color selections for the new house.

It's amazing how a rug can make a room. My husband and I bought rugs for every room in our house (except bath and kitchen). It was mostly to protect the hardwood floors of our 1912 craftsman home but they really look great too!

Are rugs make such a difference. For some reason men in particular seem to be adverse to them, especially if the floors are hardwoods. Really they emphasize the floors, not detract from them.

Beautiful work as always Kathy. Yes rugs can pull together a room in minutes. It's amazing the difference the right one can make. They add texture, color and warmth. All essential ingredients to making a space feel like home!
