Drilled water wells are an incredible drinking water source. What is a Drilled Well? A drilled well is a water system that utilizes deep ground aquifers sealing out surface water with steel casing. Drilled well systems are typically 6” in diameter and range from 100- 1000 feet in depth. The state average from Massachusetts however is around 400 feet.

 

 Drilled wells are particularly hard to quote due to the number of variables such as depth, final pump ect however they usually average between $6,500 to $10,000.00 installed. The return rate in which you well pays for itself can be tuff to determine as it is based on your particular water usage however on average a drilled well system will pay for itself within five to seven years.
