Dressing it up in Canyon Creek ~ NW Austin

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Realty ~ 512.750.6899

First Impressions are always important but so is water conservation. In Canyon Creek, a prestigious NW Austin master planned community renovations are in progress!

Last year the front entrance was re-designed using the xeriscape method due to our prolonged drought and imposed water restrictions. Some residents were disappointed because it seemed sparse considering the showy flowers we were all accustomed too! Now in one year’s time look at the colorful, artful display to the entrance!

Creo Landscaping is now in the process of redesigning entrances to each section in the community. They have completed the entrance to the Barbrook section and Cinnabar and now are working on the Chestnut Ridge section! Looking good! I'll be posting when Chestnut Ridge is finished so look for the finished product next week.

Creo you are doing a great job and we are pleased to see you working through the community making a difference one entrance at a time!

As always events and updates are brought to you as a courtesy from Dorie Dillard, Coldwell Banker, your NW Austin Real Estate consultant.

Thinking about selling your home in Canyon Creek? I live work and play in our community and would love the opportunity to discuss how I can sell your home.

Good morning Dorie,

Drought tolerant landscapes are a must in Texas - the drought we experienced last year brought this point home!  Lovely photos, and a nice shout out for Creo Landscaping.

Beautiful. I am listening to KUT on my computer right now and reminded of just how beautiful Austin is. Good luck selling and hope you have a wonderful weekend. I hear the temperatures are quite hot and will be the entire week. They said it was 102 today and will be in the triple digits until the ned of the week.

Hi Dorie,

Very nice indeed. I like to see the well groomed entries.

We just had Canal street finished. New street, utilities, storm drains and new landscaping as well.

What a difference it made. It took over a year and millions of dollars. But I can see it was well worth it.

Have a great day and wekend in Austin Texas.

Best, Clint McKie

Dorie: A beautiful community entrance sets the backdrop for what the rest of the community will be like.  Smart idea to put in drought tolerant plants too.

This reminds me of the discussion I witnessed at my own resident HOA meeting this week. when it was brought up about budget for the landscaping at the front entrance.  The entrance to a subdivision can make or break a first impression.  We refresh ours with Fall/Spring color just like the residents do.  After losing a couple of plam trees our committe is paying closer attention to hardy plants

It is great that Canyon Creek is finding innovative ways to landscape and conserve water at the same time.  They are doing a lovely job.

Hi Dorie.  Canyon Creek is looking great.  I think no matter where we live we should be thinking in terms of conservation.

Looking good, Dorrie. I think the drastic change upsets some folks but when they see the end result they realize it was all worth it.

Hi Dorie, Canyon Creek sounds like my kind of community. It looks like a beautiful place to live and I sure appreciate the efforts for water conservation. Xeriscaping should the the option in all dry climates - it just makes sense.

First impressions are indeed vital if you want the client to be interested in the property. Nothing like keeping the plantings fresh and the entrance inviting.
