We just finished a challenge where we encouraged all of you to write about very specific 'hyper local' areas of your market. You responded in huge fashion and submitted over 1500 blog posts about every nook and cranny across the country.
These are the kind of posts that can drive a substantial amount of traffic to your blog. I've seen these type of posts generate well in excess of 10,000 clicks over their life. And the real beauty? They just keep on giving. If done right, they have no shelf life and will be generating interested searchers for some time to come.
But making your content available so people can find it online is only the first step in taking an internet searcher and turning them into a happy client with a brand new home. Once you know how to get your content ranking and are able to get people to find it, you have to understand how to take that traffic and make real connections with those anonymous searchers.

On Wednesday, August 1 at 11am Pacific Time (that's 2pm Eastern for my time zone challenged friends) I invite you to join me for a special ActiveRain Webinar on creating awesome calls to action in your content. Getting them to find you is only half the battle. Making sure they connect with you is our next fight.
Of course, we want to have a link out of our content back to our IDX that easily allows them to find the current homes for sale in the area they are interested in, but what else can we do?
Here are a few of things I'll be sharing on August 1st.
- Creating links that have the highest impact and result in the most leads
- Using images as a call to action and how to create these images
- Creating splash/landing pages we can link to that easily capture content info (or whatever the heck you want them to capture)
- Embedding forms and other calls to action in our content so the visitor can take action on the page as opposed to having to click off somewhere else
- Using special deals as a way to drive the behavior in which you are interested
- I might even have a special thing or two to you as well
We'll have something for people of all skill sets. Does the word embed scare you? Don't worry, I'll make sure you get to learn something as well. And it won't just be all about your blog. Even if you don't have a blog, but maybe you like posting to Twitter and Facebook, or doing pay-per-click campaigns, we'll have a litte something for everyone.
Go ahead and get signed up by clicking the link above and don't forget to tell me your favorite action hero as a kid so I can scour ebay to find one lucky AR member a blast from their past
If you would like the recording, sign up for the class even if you can't make it and we will make sure everyone who registers gets a copy of the recording
