Wordless Wednesday - living on a house-boat

Have you ever lived on a house-boat?  I think it would be a cool way to live, even if you don't go anywhere, but just stay docked.

Life on the water is always interesting as the tides come and go, and you never know what each day will bring.

I don't live on one, but have house sitted on one for several days. It is a different lifestyle. I'm just more of a grass and yard kind of person. Although our houseboats here in GA don't look like the photos you posted.

It seems that many people enjoy houseboat living. It's not for me, I have too much stuff.

Georgina,

I've not lived on one but spent a lot of time on my brother and sister-in-law's.  We use to take their out on the lake and dock it on a beach over big summer holidays but I always like staying on it when it was just on the dock.  So fun!!!  I am coming your way this weekend with my family!!!! Can't wait.

How beautiful and what a cool way to live.  We have many here in Seattle and of course everyone always mentions Sleepless in Seattle.  I'll take the pink one please.

Georgina, these look bigger than a lot of the land houses we have here in DC.  Looks like a really fun way to live.
