1. Don't take the kids. This may sound a bit rude, but you'll be better able to concentrate on the homes you're viewing if you don't have to worry about the kids breaking something, interrupting to ask questions, getting mud on the white carpet, or falling down the basement stairs.

4. Take pictures if it's allowed. Some Realtors® and homeowners prefer that you don't take pictures of their homes, but if it's okay, and you brought your camera, shoot away. It'll make it much easier to remember things when you get back home.
5. Offer a list. Be sure your Realtor® knows exactly what it is you're looking for. There's no use to spending time looking at two-bedroom homes if only three bedrooms will do. Also, if you've scoured the Internet before you left home and have picked out some houses you think you'd like to see, let your agent see your list before you hit the road to the first home.
