In Memory of Michael Berry

I started my day today thinking about how lucky I am...turning away appraisal work because I have more than I can handle...relatively good health and a loving husband and family...

The family of Michael Berry is not so lucky.  Over the weekend Michael Berry, just shy of 24 years old...a former Marine who spent three tours in Iraq, recipient of 3 Purple Hearts and 3 Bronze Stars from his time serving our country died in a drowing accident in the American River in Sacramento CA.

MIchael was going to school and at his age had no thought of things like life insurance..he had his hopes and dreams ahead of him.    His family is now facing medical and final expenses that they can not afford.  

This amazing young man did not even bother to mention to his family when he received the last two Bronze Stars.  His mother didn't even know until the Marines sent his DD214 to her yesterday.  Even now he is giving as he is an organ donor.

Please forgive this meager appeal...this is something that is very hard for me to do but I hope it is good enough to encourage some much needed donations to the family of a brave Marine, a loving son.  I know you don't know him but he didn't know us either as he fought for our country..
