When clients ask for you to "jump", do you ask "how high"? I have to admit, these photos I took today brought that on plus the fact that the Olympics have just started. The question is real, though. Do you give it everything you've got or do you just give enough of a jump to get by, beat the record, enough to WIN?
So how about us, the real estate professionals? Do we ALWAYS give our best, or just enough to get the transaction done?
"Why give more than you need to unless it's necessary?" Well, that is the question.
1. When you go to a LISTING APPOINTMENT you think is a slam dunk, do you say "Wait, Mr. Seller, I know you want to hire me but I need to tell you ALL THAT I'M GOING TO DO FOR YOU.
2. When you put together an offer for a seller, do you just go with what the buyer is willing to pay, or do you advise him (1) you can get it cheaper or (2) you need do better LOOK AT MY COMPS.
Me? I like to give it everything I've got all the time if for no other reason than I LOVE REAL ESTATE. It's intricacies give me a tremendous mental exercise, no two days or clients are alike, and therefore I learn new things all the time.
This blog on the face of it may sound a little silly, but is it?
