Things to do in Cary by the Cary Concierge…August Events at the Farmer’s Market

Western Wake Farmer’s Market has a great list of events and demonstrations for you all through out the month of August!

August 4th: “Yes, You Can!” There will be a canning demonstration by Ginger Zucchinio, Music performed by Kyle Scobie, and recipes and tips on healthy eating for weeknight meals.

August 11th: Melon Day! It is Melon Day at the Western Wake Farmer’s Market, perfect time to get the a delicious melon for a picnic or fruit salad. Jason Blackley will be giving out gardening tips and Ross Warren will be the musical entertainment.

August 18th: Kids Day! There are going to be numerous stations with kids activities, as well as cooking demonstrations, gardening, and music by Doug Pratt and Larry Sleeper.

August 25th: Alice Loyd will give you all the tips and information you need to know about fermentation and preservtion of fruits and vegetables. Andrew Robbins closes out the music guests for this month.
