Maryland Summer Flowers: Kentlands Photowalking

Walking through the neighborhood is good exercise.  Having a camera in hand adds interest to the importance of exercise.  Kentlands, our home community in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is designed for walking and the beauty of the homes and gardens provides a perfect combination for photowalks.

Be sure to step away from your computer on a regular basis and get some exercise for good health.  It is easy to put aside the problems of the moment when you are focusing your camera on a beautiful flower.

Please share photographs of the flowers in your neighborhood in the comments for this post.

Roy, You are so lucky to have so many beautiful flowers in your home neighborhood, Ketlands to walk by everyday! Unfortunately drought had slowed down some of our flowers lately in Central New Jersey.  Hopefully the thunderstorms that we have been having will at least help the flowers!

Roy, most of the front yards in my neighborhood have a few bushes and palm trees of various varieties. Get my color from you and then take a stroll through the neighborhood for exercise! Enjoy your day!

Thank you for the lovely Sunday morning collection, Roy. My favorite is the pink daylily. No, wait, it's the gladiolas, hmm, maybe that lovely yellow gerbera.....

Hi Roy and Delores,

Great shots as you always have.

We went to the Zoo yesterday and there was'nt much blooming at all. Last year we had quite a few blooms buy this year it's been really bad.

Have a good day in the Kentlands.

Best, Clint McKie

Good morning Roy and Dolores -

Once again you have inspired and provided some great flower photos for us to enjoy.  Debbie and I have been enjoying Mother Nature in Colorado the past few days and in fact are headed out in a few to find a waterfall to shoot.  Nothing like getting out and taking in the great outdoors and all it offers.

Have a great Sunday my friends...

John

WOW Roy, great photos but I have to say that the pink lilly is simply amazing. That may be the best color photo of that flower I have ever seen. Simply beautiful!
