Motivational Power Quote

When You’re in a Tight Place

“When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, never give up then, for that is just the time that the tide will turn.”

Harriet Beecler Stowe 1811 -1896, American Author, Abolitionist

As I see it . . . . . . .

When you’re in a tight place

When you’re in a tight place and you feel like your back is against the wall you have reached a point to plan and to start your forward momentum.

Having your back against the wall is the starting point of resuming your forward progress and your success journey. You have reached the point in time where there are very few options and no value to continue to move backwards and your best option is to move forward.

When your back is against the wall there are two options. One is to quit on yourself and to let the condition overwhelm you or to take control of the condition and take control your future.

By taking control of the condition you will start to look for solutions and to take a proactive role in your future. As you look for solutions you will find the best way that you can to overcome the condition and you will begin to work your way out of it.

When you’re in a tight place . . . . Do your best to work your way out of the condition and to create forward progress and forward momentum in your life and career.

Lou,

We've all been in tight places before and will be again in the future. We all need to find a way out.

 Hi Lou,

Sometimes having our back against the wall serves those who know to move forward well, like you suggested.

A good idea during such times is to assess one's situation, craft a plan and work on this pan daily.

Have a fabulous weekend!

This is a turning point in one's life. Lou. Many of them will turn around (making it as returning point) whereas few of them will move forward, making that moment as a turning point. Good one, as always, Lou.

Very true. I have wondered a couple of times if I quit something too soon. Success is often just around the next corner.

Actually the tight place as you posted is the source of many great wonders that were always present, but could not get to the surface to be used...Game shows demonstrate this dynamic very well...A simple question, fun, rewards and oh, you have ten seconds to do or say the right thing...The clock can make or break

When I'm in a tight spot I have to get away from the problem and just think.  Amazing how you can actually brainstorm with yourself.

So true, so true.  When one's back is against the wall, there is only one place to go.  Or, I guess if that way is not chosedn, one will always have their back to the wall...

Great motivational post.  Many people do their best work when their backs are against the wall.

This is a great post!  I've been in the "back against the wall" situation and I can tell you that it is true that if you don't give in, when the tides turn, you will move forward.
