Property Ownership Records

 

Financial title escrow instructions, insurance policy records, deed, mortgage agreements and termite inspection policy.  Keep as long as you own the property, plus several more years as proof of paid off loans.  Keep a copy of the purchase and sale agreements indefinitely.

 

  

Home Improvement Records

 

Receipts, contracts and records of costs.  Keep until home is sold and the tax liability is settled.

 

 

  

Insurance

 

Keep list of all policies and related information until fours years after the expiration of the policy update as necessary.
