So sorry to hear about that. It must be the fault of one of those pesky loan officers! = )

Let us know how it goes. If it is really a good deal then it should go quickly (too bad that it will now have the off the market/back on the market stigma to it.) Good luck!

Thanks Jeff.  Actually, yes, it was a loan that fell through.  It was a brand new agent who had the buyers, this was his first transaction (grrrrrr, why me??????????) and the buyers had an approval letter.  It turns out they had TWO foreclosures and a BK.  It took the loan officer two weeks to turn them down.  I was so mad.  Oh well, on to the next buyer, I'm sure one will come along - it's a great place for someone who wants a little room.  Thank goodness most loan officers are better than this, LOL!

15 minutes of running the credit and the loan should have been killed. I work for a bank so my job has not been affected much but keep in mind that for mortgage brokers, their whole industry has been dumped upside down. A year ago they probably could have done the deal and probably spent that 2 weeks looking for a lender willing to buy. I guarantee that nobody would! There is still the shock of not being able to do any loan under the sun that is setting in.

Yeah, that's a good point.  I'm sure lots of loan officers ARE still in shock.  She is probably one of them.  Interesting times, aren't they?dlison
