13 Comments on Asterism is the new word of the day
This is a very interesting word. Thanks for the definition.
Good morning James. I was so glad I got "aphorism", and now you stumped me again. If you Google "asterism" and look at "images" you will find examples. Thanks for another interesting word.
This one's new to me, I'm not sure I've ever seen the word or the arrangement of asterics.
James, I just use a check mark to call attention to a passge I may want to review again. Using an "asterism" would be too much work! Enjoy your day! Hope you are feeling better.
I didn't guess this at all and I am usually pretty good at figuring out words....finding the root word. I figured the aster part but had no clue. I love learning at least one new word a day....am a life long learner.
Thanks for sharing.
Morning everyone and thanks for the comments. Wayne I'm much better no fever and I'm going to hit the links this afternoon in a 105 degree day. Might only play 9 we'll see.
***Hi James, very clever, thanks for the suggestion! We will use it next time! *** lol
Hi James,
Well I tried LOL.
I just can't get the top one in place, is this a trick? LOL
I hope youget some rain soon, like us you are in a drought situation as well.
Have a great day in Rogers, Arkansas my friend.
Best, Clint McKie
Well, I was close in figuring this one out. I thought it was asterisks in a row. I often use asterisk in the title of an email message when I want to draw attention to it. That and "priority" and all caps works in conjunction.
hmm. .that would not be a bad tattoo to have. ..thanks for the tip!
Great stuff once again James.
James...
***You need to come to Bristol and give me some golf lessons...been so long since I've played, I forgot how!
Hope you have a great day!
Rob
Good evening, James. And here I thought it had something to do with Ms Asters posh horse. Who wudda thunk it...
